Privacy policy

To use Point you must agree to this privacy policy. When you signed up you agreed to this policy. We collect the following information automatically and it is only archived in system log files unless specified:

  • e-mail addresses of those who communicate with us by e-mail
  • IP addresses and page views for all users of the Point application and the Point website

Disclosure, Data Ownership and Security

  • We will never sell e-mail addresses to any third party, however in accordance with RFC1035, email addresses will be included in zone SOA records
  • PointDNS reserve the right to sell or transfer customer details & DNS data as part of an acquisition of the service as a whole.
  • We will make every effort to maintain the security of all information stored within your Point account
  • We will comply with any legitimate requests from law enforcement agencies to disclose certain information to them to assist with their investigations
  • PointDNS own all software, databases and all rights to the Point application, you retain all rights to any information you add or upload to your Point account.

Registration

During registration we ask for a minimal amount of information. However, this information must be accurate and kept up-to-date in accordance with our terms & conditions.

Cookies

When using Point, we will store a cookie on your computer containing an encrypted string which contains your session information. This cookie will expire and be removed when you close your browser. If you have opted to be remembered, we will create a cookie containing a unique token which will expire and be removed after 14 days. We do not use permanent cookies.

We might change this policy at any time, but if we do, we will tell you about these changes by posting an updated policy on our website, and making note of what the changes were in summary form at the top of this document.
